We are a startup on a mission to build the infrastructure that would help make it easy for African businesses to build, mashup, & integrate web3 apps, features, and services as they see fit. inhales! that was a lot of commas! Think Paystack, but for blockchain. The person would potentially become our inaugural CTO.

What we're looking for

We are seeking an experienced Rust developer with strong working knowledge and excellent familiarity with blockchain technologies. You would be responsible for building our initial product, as well as hiring, growing, and leading the engineering team. You would also be mostly responsible for technical direction. The person would ideally eventually become the CTO.

Responsibilities

• Help quickly design, prototype, and develop layer-2 blockchain infrastructure.
• Help hire, grow, and lead a team of developers.
• Develop SDKs & APIs for other languages such as TypeScript, Python, Go, etc.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of blockchain development experience
• 2+ years experience building enterprise software with Rust.
• Proven experience leading a team of developers.
• Proven experience building and shipping SDKs and APIs with REST, WebSockets, or GraphQL.
• Proven experience building blockchain applications. Ideally in at least one of NEAR, Solana, Polkadot, Binance, Zcash, or Elrond.
• Experience with distributed storage systems and protocols.
• Strong expertise in at least 1 one of Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Ruby.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong attention to detail.
